Episode 1

Creation: I'm Right, You're Wrong

In this foundational episode, we explore God’s act of creation, not as a response to need, but as a sheer overflow of His divine love and generosity. We discover that humanity, made in the Imago Dei (the Image of God), was designed for relationship with our Creator. This episode reveals how redemption was never “Plan B,” but rather the ultimate stage upon which God would display the full depth of His character as both a powerful Creator and a gracious Redeemer. Ultimately, we connect this perfect, created order to our lives today, issuing a powerful call for Christians to live boldly according to the truth God has woven into the fabric of reality.

Episode 2

The Fall: Your Guilt; Your Nature

This episode confronts the tragedy of the Fall, where humanity’s rebellion shattered God’s perfect creation. We explore how this single act introduced Original Sin, a corruption that now taints our very nature and clouds our ability to know truth. Yet, even in this darkness, God unveils the first glimmer of hope: the promise of a coming Savior. This act of defiance wasn’t the end, but the stage for God’s ultimate redemptive plan. We are now called to be “dragon slayers,” waging war against the sin that seeks to destroy us.

Episode 3

Covenant Era: The Covenantal God of Scripture

This episode unpacks God’s covenants as the very architecture of His redemptive plan. We trace the promises made to Abraham, Moses, and David, which reveal God’s perfect justice, profound mercy, and unshakable faithfulness. These covenants are all built upon the commonly known pactum salutis—the eternal plan for salvation conceived within the Trinity before time began. Every promise finds its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ, the mediator of the New Covenant. We are challenged to live as a covenant people, anchored in God’s faithfulness and reflecting His promises to the world.

Episode 4

The Incarnation: No Excuses

This episode explores the profound mystery of the Incarnation, revealing Jesus as the eternal Logos—the very Word of God who created and entered our world. We unpack the hypostatic union, understanding Christ as fully God to atone for our sin and fully man to be our perfect representative. The theological necessity of the Virgin Birth is illuminated, showing how it preserved Christ from Adam’s inherited sin, making Him our spotless sacrifice. This was not a divine reaction, but the fulfillment of God’s eternal plan of redemption, a truth that demands our entire lives in worship.

Episode 5

The Life of Jesus: Radical Discipleship

This episode examines the public ministry of Jesus through the seven signs in John’s Gospel, each revealing His divine authority over creation, tradition, and even death itself. These miracles were not mere displays of power but theological declarations, pointing to Jesus as the Redeemer and calling people to a radical, costly discipleship. We learn that following Christ is not based on feelings but on unyielding obedience to truth, a commitment that costs everything. Jesus’ gradual self-revelation, the “Messianic Secret,” was intentional, aligning with God’s perfect timing. Ultimately, His entire life fulfilled Old Testament promises, pointing toward the cross and challenging us to be true disciples, rooted in His Word.

Episode 6

Death and Atonement: Before The Fury of a Holy God

This episode culminates at the cross, the axis upon which all of redemptive history turns. We delve into the core doctrine of Penal Substitutionary Atonement, understanding that God’s perfect justice requires a penalty for sin—His holy wrath. Jesus, as our perfect substitute, willingly drank this “cup of wrath,” enduring the full divine judgment we deserved. His sacrifice was both propitiation, satisfying God’s justice, and expiation, removing our guilt. This was necessary because God, in His unchanging holiness, cannot deny Himself by simply overlooking sin. The cross is where God’s wrath and love perfectly collide, making it the non-negotiable heart of the gospel.

Episode 7

Proof of Jesus' Resurrection: Unfounded Fiction

This episode establishes the resurrection as a historically verifiable fact, presenting apologetic evidence from early creeds, eyewitnesses, and even non-Christian sources. Theologically, this event is God’s divine vindication of Christ, the ultimate receipt proving His atoning sacrifice was accepted and the debt of sin was paid in full. The resurrection is the definitive victory over sin and death, reversing Adam’s curse and confirming that death no longer has the last word. Christ’s subsequent Ascension marks His coronation as the cosmic King who now intercedes for us. This same resurrection power now dwells in believers through the Holy Spirit, calling us to live with boldness. The empty tomb is the unshakeable foundation of our faith, a truth that changes everything.

Episode 8

New Creation: Through Judgement to Triumph

This final episode brings God’s metanarrative to its grand finale: the New Creation. This isn’t an escape from the world, but its glorious renewal where heaven and earth unite, fulfilling all of God’s promises. We are promised glorified physical bodies, incorruptible and free from sin, mirroring Christ’s own resurrected form. This eschatological hope is the ultimate fulfillment of the covenant of redemption. Living in the tension of the “already, not yet,” we are citizens of this coming kingdom. The series concludes with a call to live as bold ambassadors, recognizing this unstoppable, cosmic story is our own.

The Biblical Metanarrative

Many see the Bible as a library of disconnected books—moral tales, poetry, and prophecy. But from Genesis to Revelation, Scripture tells a single, coherent story: the metanarrative of God’s eternal plan to redeem a people for His own glory. This is the story of how God is making all things new in Jesus Christ, a plan set in motion before the foundation of the world.

In this series, we journey through the major movements of this redemptive history. We begin with Creation and the Fall, trace the unfolding of God’s covenants, and arrive at the centerpiece of all history: the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Christ. From there, we move forward to the final promise of a New Creation. In each episode, we dive deep into the theological significance of these events and, most importantly, understand what they mean for the Christian life. You will not only learn the story, but see how it shapes everything we are and do as followers of Christ.
