Common Questions
Here are some frequently asked questions about Valley, our discipleship program, events and more.
Summit
What should I expect at my first Summit?
Summit combines liturgical worship, theological teaching, and the Lord’s Table. Expect substance over entertainment, reverent worship, and serious engagement with God’s Word. The atmosphere is warm but theologically serious.
Groups
Can I choose my own Group?
Groups are assigned by leadership to ensure balance and healthy dynamics, but we’re flexible if you have a specific request.
Worship
What's the worship style like?
We sing Psalms, hymns, and doctrinally rich modern worship (E.g., Shane & Shane, Sovereign Grace, CityAlight). Our focus is bringing the best adoration to God through music that trains the soul, not bypasses the mind.
Availability
Can non-believers attend?
Yes! The Summit and Ventures are open to everyone—we’d love to have them come to Christ and experience our community. Groups, however, are specifically for committed believers since they focus on deeper discipleship, prayer, and spiritual growth with those walking with Christ.
Church
Are you a church plant?
No. Valley is a discipleship movement that works alongside local churches. We encourage members to be committed to their local church while participating in Valley for focused discipleship.
Groups
How long are Group meetings?
Groups typically meet for 1.5-2 hours weekly. The exact time depends on your Group leader, but we keep it long enough for meaningful conversation without overwhelming busy schedules.
Attendance
How many people attend Valley?
We intentionally stay mid-sized to build real relationships. While all Valley gathers together for the Summit (50-100+ people), Groups keep it intimate with 8-15 members each typically.
